The Tarff Team had a fantastic evening at the Lantra Scotland ALBAS Awards on Thursday 6th March, held at Crieff Hydro, where we were thrilled to receive the Anna Murray Award for Partnership Working. This recognition, shared with Borders College and Borders Machinery Ring – BMR, celebrates the success of our Pre-Apprenticeship programme and the collaborative effort to support young people entering the agricultural sector.

This award recognises the success of our Pre-Apprenticeship programme, which has been instrumental in supporting young people as they take their first steps into the agricultural sector. Collaboration has been at the heart of this initiative, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see the dedication of everyone involved acknowledged on such a prestigious platform.

At Tarff Valley, we’re passionate about fostering the next generation of agricultural professionals, ensuring they have the skills, experience and opportunities to thrive in this ever-evolving industry. The success of the Pre-Apprenticeship programme is a testament to what can be achieved when organisations work together with a shared vision.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue this journey. Applications for the 2025/26 Pre-Apprenticeship programme are now open—if you or someone you know is interested in kickstarting a career in agriculture, visit the ‘Pre-Apprenticeship’ tab on our website to find out more.

Tarff Valley was also pleased to be a sponsor of the event. A highlight of the evening was seeing Tracey McEwan, Tarff Services Coordinator, present the award for Mentor of the Year. A huge congratulations to Marc Pickering who won the award.
