Tarff Services is absolutely delighted to share that Reuben Salomons was named Runner-Up for Agricultural Learner of the Year at the Lantra Scotland ALBAS (Awards for Land-based and Aquaculture Skills).
Each year, the ALBAS Awards celebrate the achievements of trainees, apprentices, mentors, training providers and schools across Scotland’s land-based and aquaculture sector, recognising outstanding contributions and highlighting the rewarding careers available within the industry.
Reuben has progressed through Tarff Services’ educational pathways, completing his SCQF Level 5 in Agriculture and now working towards his SCQF Level 6 qualification while gaining valuable hands-on experience as a General Farm Worker at Byretown Farm in South Lanarkshire.
Since beginning his training, Reuben has demonstrated real commitment to developing his skills within the dairy sector. From achieving his Artificial Insemination qualification to taking on increasing responsibility within the herd breeding programme, he has continued to build both his confidence and technical knowledge.
Reuben’s employers, Alan and Fiona Trainer, describe him as “a steady, conscientious young person with strong stockmanship and a clear ambition to succeed in the dairy industry.”
Everyone at Tarff Services is incredibly proud of Reuben’s achievement and we look forward to seeing his continued progress within the industry.
