It’s great to see our customers doing so well in the show and sale rings and we’re always delighted to receive their feedback!

We recently received great feedback from Billy Graham, Craigdarroch Farm, who sold ‘Craigdarroch Zico’ for a new Luing breed record of 32,000gns at the Luing Cattle Society Premier Sale at Wallets Marts on Friday 11th February.

“We have been using Tarff’s Suckled Calf blend on our Luing calves for a number of years and always feel they winter well on it. The calves grow strongly and are always in great condition for selling store in the spring. We have tried a few expensive bull feeds over the years but after speaking to Tarff’s Senior Nutritionist, Ian Houston, we decided to add yeast to the Suckled Calf blend and keep our bulls on it until a month before the sale to keep them growing on. For the last month we move the bulls to a bespoke formulation, created by Tarff, to achieve the final bloom and to get our bulls in tip-top condition. Since we started using these feeds, we have always been very happy with the performance of our bulls and we have had a fair bit of success in the sale ring over the years! Notably, this year, selling ‘Craigdarroch Zico’ for a new Luing breed record of 32,000gns and averaging 16,750gns for our four bulls. Service is paramount and we have a very good Sales Representative in our area who is always willing to do that extra bit to keep his customers stocked up and happy!”
