To ensure uninterrupted supplies over the festive period, please ensure that all orders are placed by the dates highlighted in the table below.

It would be helpful if you could give as much notice as possible when ordering. We request you order in advance to avoid disappointment.

Tarff Town and Country Christmas Events

In the run up to Christmas, Tarff Town and Country, Dumfries has a number of suppliers joining in store to promote their products and offer free tasting sessions! Suppliers include Jack & Jill Jams, Solway Spirits, Dark Art Distillery, Sweetheart Tablet and more!

Come along and meet local wholesaler Ross Newlands and sample an amazing selection of locally made treats:

Sunday 30th November (10am – 4pm)
Tarff Town and Country will be joined by Jack & Jill Jams! Try their delicious homemade jams & marmalades including: Plum, Plum & Ginger, Blackberry, Blackberry & Gin, Mango, Gooseberry and the rare Honeyberry – a Dumfries store favourite!

Saturday 6th December (10am – 4pm)

In-Store tasting with Solway Spirits. Want to sip on something special this Christmas? Drop by Tarff Town and Country, Dumfries on Sat 6th December from 10am—4pm and give a few tipples a try!

Want to make sure you get perfectly fitted equestrian safety gear? Body protector/riding hat fitting with Sophie from Champion Equestrian. 

Dark Art Distillery from Kirkcudbright will be in store. Indulge in their rich gin and experience the smooth, complex taste of Véspero, Scotland’s very first 100% agave spirit.

Sunday 14th December (10am – 4pm)
In-Store tasting with Cairn O Mohr (fruit wines). Cairn o’ Mohr crafts award-winning Scottish fruit wines from wild-foraged berries, flowers and leaves, matured for over a year — a truly unique and naturally vibrant tasting.

A Feathers Touch will be showcasing handmade homewares and decorations.

Sunday 21st December (10am  – 4pm)
Get ready for a sugary adventure with Sweetheart Tablet, a fantastic local creator from Dumfries! If you’re craving a fun, contemporary twist on a beloved classic, swing by Tarff Town and Country, Dumfries on Sunday 21st December where you can try some of these delicious creations!

Late Night Christmas Shopping

Get into the festive spirit with our Late Night Christmas Shopping events at both our Town and Country stores on Thursday 11th December and Thursday 18th December. Both stores will be open until 8pm, giving you extra time to browse for gifts and take advantage of our exclusive 15% off clothing and footwear offer, available only on these evenings!

You’ll also have the chance to support local causes through our charity raffles. At Castle Kennedy, you could win a £50 handmade hamper for just £1 a ticket! All proceeds will go to the Stranraer Cancer Drop-In Centre, helping raise vital funds for this wonderful local charity.

At Dumfries, on Thursday 11th December you can enter the prize draw to win a £50 hamper and the following week the prize draw is for a pair of Muck Boots*! All proceeds from both prize draws will go towards Cash for Kids.
